#1 Is it when the engine is cold or when the engine is hot? Which is ideal. Thanks #2 I don't think it really matters but I do it when cold. The half inch that it goes above the full line when 'hot' isn't significant IMO. #3 Doesn't matter there's different levels for hot and cold #4 With my non-pressurized overflow tank I keep it at the max line when it is cold.
