Understanding Enhancements Updating equipment to keep one's fighting abilities viable against tough enemies is a complicated process that begins when the player finds an Enhancement Artisan NPC. These characters allow the player to increase the stats and gear score of their equipment. With the help of these NPCs, the player can Fortify their equipment up to level 5. Upon reaching level 5, the equipment can be Upgraded to the next rarity tier.
